Even though I am 12, that’s normal because I saw my mom feel a very young baby that much.

she is almost 3 months! she should be taking way more than 2 ounces. She should be taking about 4 or a little more by now.

Please take time to ask the correct people….the baby doctor or practitioner…..Your baby’s welfare should be addressed by professionals not us!

Is she falling asleep during feedings? A little tickle on her foot should wake her up. keep doing it till she drinks at least 4 ozs.

that is about normal for a 11 week old baby mine drank about that maybe a little less some babies don’t need much and they say they wil only eat as much as ther fist and that is not that big so i would say she is doing great

My now 6 month old only had about 3 ounces every 3-4 hours when she was around 11 wks, You could try giving baby a 1/2 an ounce more and see if she/he takes it.. My baby never gave cues that she wanted more I just started giving her more when I thought the age was appropriate.. She is a small baby still but she eats better now.. Try that and see if it works.. Good Luck
It sounds good though since baby is eating frequently and not waiting to long to eat.. If baby is gaining weight good and seems healthy otherwise than things should be fine.. If baby doesnt want to eat the extra 1/2 an ounce than dont force her/him !!

if she is getting between 18-24 ounces in a 24 hour time she is fine. all babies eat different amounts. as long as she is gaining weight she should b ok.

That’s normal for some babies, but after you feed her the 2 oz, and burp her, do you offer her more? Most babies (not all) take 2 oz, burp and take 2 more.

THAT SOUNDS FINE. AS LONG AS SHE IS NOT UNDER WEIGHT I WOULDNT WORRY. SHE WILL LET YOU KNOW IF SHE IS HUNGRY.

I raised my sons like every 8 weeks so. If she is still sucking and the bottle is empty raise It like half an ounce see how she does.

my son was a small meal guy too. both my kids would snack, and eat every 2 hours. my new guy is four months old now and it seems like it took him forever to get up to five ounces per feeding, and he still eats every 2 and a half hours. at eleven weeks he should probably be eating a little more than that. check with your pediatrician. if he’s gaining weight well, it’s not an issue. weight gain and growth will be the indicator if he’s doing well on that amount or if you need to encourage him to eat more.

my son was 9 and 10 months only drinking about 3 ounces of breastmilk every 2 hours- he would ratehr drink smaller amounts more often- around growth spurts he would ddrink much more- if shes gaining wieght then you have nothing to worry about

Why not put in a call to the pediatrician, people on yahoo answers will guess at this if they don’t know the answer just to get the points, and your baby is far too important to take a chance on a total stranger on a computer. Best Wishes.

it’s normal for her if that’s what she wants. All babies are different. My daughter didn’t start taking 4 oz. till around 4 or 5 months and she never ate over 6 oz. even when she was 12 months old. If that is all she wants then that is fine.

i can’t answer your question with amounts as my kids were all breastfed BUT as long as your baby is having wet and poopy diapers and is gaining weight, then there shouldn’t be a problem.

4 oz is around wht it should be. make sure the formula doesn’t have any fillers in it that could make her feel full. (some have added cereal.) Main thing is if the baby is gaining weight then it is more than likely eatting good enough.

Well you got to figure 2-3 oz every 2-3 hours is really pretty good. If she was eating on a schedule like every 4 hours then she would eat about 6-8oz. I think that’s pretty good for an 11 week old. I never kept my on a schedule cause if they were hunger then I feed them. All kids are different. As long as they eat. I’ll tell you something….when my daughter was born she would drink 6-8 oz every 2 hours. And she was only like 2 weeks old. I called her doctor and he said she was just hunger and told me to put her on Isomil since it was a soy milk and he had me start feeding he cereal! Just at night..about 1-2 oz. She slept great after that. All kids are different and their eating habits are different too. If she eats every two hours and takes in at least 2-3 oz I thinks she’s doing fine.

All babies are different so don’t worry. My daughter will be 6 months old in a couple of days and she only takes 5 ounces. She’s growing well so we’re not concerned. If it concerns you though, check with your pediatrician. That’s always the best answer. I call for any and every little thing. That’s why they’re there.

I don’t know if that’s too little or not. I know that the more they weigh, the more they should drink. If you baby weighs less they need less calories a day. And I know that every baby is different. My daughter was the complete opposite, drinking 4 oz a bottle by 1 week and 6 oz a bottle by 4 weeks.
