95 Ford Ranger. Baby car seated?
I and my girlfriend have a baby coming up soon, I have a 1995 ford ranger extended cab.. Super cab.. Whatever. The seats are set sideways and really are not that big, when I put the carseat into test it, it seems to be wobbly… Are you able to put a carseat in this vehicle?

Infant seats need to face to the rear, not sideways or toward the front. As far as the wobbly thing, if a seat moves more than one inch in any direction it is not properly installed. See your local police/sheriff/highway patrol, they can show you how to install the seat properly.

You can use a carseat in the Ranger but ONLY in the front seat!! The baby should always be facing the rear of the vehicle. NEVER put a carseat in the jump seats facing sideways because it will surely cause serious injury or death if a collision. Your girlfriend would just have to ride in the back if you don’t want to change vehicles.

The baby’s car seat must allow the baby to face REARWARD…..NOT SIDEWAYS OR TO THE FRONT. See the owners manual for the baby seat.
Looks like you may have to trade your vehicle in on one that can accommodate a baby seat safely. If you have questions, stop into any State Police barracks and they can check the installation to be sure the little one will be safe while the vehicle is in motion.
