6 Answers & Suggestion to “Breastfeeding How much weight did you lose?”
I lost 12 lb over my prepregnancy weight. I started pregnancy at 129, gained 34 lb during pregnancy and after ten months of breastfeeding I was 117. No exercising, and I ate all the time. It’s crazy how much weight you lose.
I say having babies and nursing them is the best way to get in shape, lol!
I still have more baby weight to lose – my baby is 4 months old. I have about 10 pounds to get to my pre-preg weight. My stomach is nearly flat though, I just have more weight distributed throughout (especially the boobs!).
I did lose 30 without doing anything and eating whatever I want though…
I had been sick with morning sickness all nine months so I only gained 20 pounds (my doctors wanted me to gain 35 or more) The pounds just melted away within a few weeks. I was back into my prepregnancy jeans within five weeks. And I think I would have been in them sooner, but I had a little swelling from my c-section. Honestly I was eating like a horse after the first week because I had been practically starving the whole pregnancy. Lactating is the easiest way to lose that baby weight, by far.
Pre pregnancy weight was 142, gained 16 lbs (had gestational diabetes). After birth, I had the baby blues and basically lost all 16 lbs in like 2 weeks. I was also breastfeeding at this time. I have lost an additional 10 lbs (now 132 lbs) and still breastfeeding. I am eating well but not exercising ( the baby keeps me busy and work part-time).
Everyone is different and the weight loss could vary. Just eat healthy and take care of yourself.
