Do you try to eat healthy while you are pregnant? If not, did you let your cravings take over once in a while?
Or did you when you were pregnant?

I ate healthy during my pregnancies to the extent that I made sure I got a variety of foods. I ate lots of salad, drank lots of milk, and ate chicken, beef, and fish that was broiled or baked instead of fried.
My major cravings were pretty healthy things. Eggs and raisin bran were things that I craved on a daily basis that I ate whenever I wanted. Other times I would crave hot dogs and bolonga, not the healthiest things, but not the worst, either. I wasn’t going to get fat as a cow because I had one hot dog.
The thing I struggled with was Big Macs. I always wanted one!! I would give in and get myself one once or twice a week. Not healthy at all, and full of fat.
I feel like, usually, what you crave is what your body needs. A lot of women crave ice cream, which isn’t that bad for you if you get a low-fat kind. Why fight what your body is telling you to eat?

check with your doctor. i have 2 kids i craved fish sand which from MC Donald’s and they came out fine.
I ate really healthy throughout my pregnancy, except for ONE DAY, I ate Wendy’s cheeseburger and chili. Immadiately after I had false labor for a few hours. I went to the hospital and everything. Had to be induced a week later.
The one thing I ever craved during pregnancy was peppery beef jerky and that was before I even new I was pregnant.
I really don“t eat that healthy.
when pregnant I tried to eat healthy and also ate according to my cravings because i believe your body craves what it needs. with my 1st I craved pizza and had lots of nausea. with my second I was never hungry and always felt full and had bad heartburn so didn’t eat very much so tried to eat higher calories or high protein, things like peanut butter sandwiches or eggs in salad. I also would sometimes write what I ate to see if I was getting enough calories. my 2nd baby sucked it all from me and i actually LOST weight…my arms, legs and face got thinner!
I try to eat healthy, just as I was raised. But, I definitely eat whatever I am craving. Not only have I read that it’s your body’s way of telling you what you or the baby needs, my doctor and ob have also told me the same thing. I had morning sickness for 4 months and lost almost 25 pounds, I was told to eat whatever I thought I could eat so that I would atleast have something in me. Since then, I have tried staying away from Chinese and Mexican (two of my favorites) because it gives me bad heartburn and constipation. Other than that, go for whatever your body is telling you.
just eat good balanced meals that you like to eat.and it always seems that your craving always seems to take over once in a while
I eat very healthy when pregnant. It’s what’s best for the baby.
