If your baby is in the 87th percentile, then that means that 13 % of babies are bigger than yours at 30 weeks. My second baby was always in and around the 90th percentile from birth and even now he is taller than most kids his age.

He is normal.
A healthy baby is anywhere from 75-100%. It is only measuring him vrs. other babies at the same gestation.
