most babies eat 2-4 oz. every 3-4 hrs. at that age, both of mine did. Dr’s said that was perfect.

    4-6 oz per feeding

Your baby is growing and eats a lot. If you want to put a little baby cereal in her bottle. That should alow her to be full for longer periods of time.

My son drank 4 oz then moved up to 6.

At that age, I was told to feed my baby 3-4 ounces every 3-4 hours. She was still hungry after that (crying and all) so at 2 months I fed her some cereal in the bottle – which she started eating 4 ounces every 4-5 hours.. and now she is 15 lbs which is good for 4 months.

Does she eat 5 ounces from an 8 ounce bottle? If so, there is a very small possibility that you might need to add a little cereal to her formula (very little and your pediatrician should be consulted). You could also try water between feedings, but if you know she’s really hungry she may just be hungry. I would call her Dr. and ask these questions because a) he expects call from new moms and nothing is off limits and b) you will feel much better knowing that what she’s going through is normal. I’m sure she’s fine, but you’ll feel better if you call your doctor in the morning.

My kids started cereal at 2 months (against my doctors advice). They were hungry, and formula just wasn’t filling them up.) That was 16 years ago and they are fine/normal and healthy (and thin).

Feed her when she’s hungry! My baby ate like that too, and they end up leveling off around 6 months. Just make sure you aren’t giving her a bottle to compensate for other things. Like every time she fusses, make sure everything else is ok, then resort to the bottle.

its normal. shes growing and soon she will only be eating every 6-8 hours but she will be more acive so if he doctor isnt worried you shouldnt be either. just stock up more lol.
