I'm not sure about to breast feed. I don 't want to, but all say it' s healthier.

Breastmilk is rocket fuel for babies.
Breastmilk will help you to lose extra weight quickly.
Breastmilk makes your breasts look great.
Breastmilk creates the hormone of love to flow through your body. Relaxing and calming you naturally as you begin one of the most challenging times of your life.
Breastmilk will make your baby automatically fall deeper in love with you as you provide the best food on the planet.
Breastmilk is fast, easy, convenient and always at the right temperature, the right amount and ready on demand without having to get up to get it in the middle of the night.
YES. Like a million times better.
It’s custom-made for your baby and his or her nutritional needs.
Even the manufacturers of formula will tell you breast milk is best. (says so on the tin)
“Is breastfeeding really THAT much better than formula?”
Yes’m.
“In virtually all of the reported cases each year in which a breast-fed baby becomes seriously ill as a result of her mother’s feeding choice, the problem is actually one of not breast-feeding — meaning that, as in the Walrond and Cheeks cases, some uninformed and unsupported nursing mothers are not aware that they aren’t effectively transferring milk from their breasts to their babies. In sharp contrast, however, routine formula feeding — even when done properly by parents — is itself a contributor to overall rates of infant morbidity and mortality in the United States. This is because — despite what manufacturers’ advertising would have parents believe — today’s commercial infant formulas, while a marked improvement over the homemade concoctions of years past, still represent a flawed and highly inferior imitation of our own, species-specific milk.
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics’ most recent member survey, a majority of baby doctors see slightly more formula-fed babies than breast-fed babies admitted to the hospital for instances of malnutrition and failure to thrive. But this represents only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the differences in rates of morbidity and mortality between formula-fed and breast-fed infants in this country. When the overall health of formula-fed infants in the U.S. is compared to that of breast-fed infants — even after controlling for variables such as parents’ socioeconomic backgrounds — it becomes clear that formula-fed babies are sicker, sick more often, and are more likely to die in infancy or childhood. However, parents often lack access to this information, and in fact, are often the recipients of misinformation, thus denied the ability to make truly informed choices regarding how they will feed their babies. Although the phrase “breast-feeding is best” is tossed around so liberally as to have been rendered almost meaningless, many Americans are under the mistaken impression that today’s commercial infant formulas are nearly identical to human milk. And because of this, parents who routinely approach other important infant health and safety issues in a thoughtful, deliberate way are largely unaware that in epidemiological terms, the decision to formula-feed when breast-feeding is an option places their child at demonstrably higher risk for a wide variety of ailments.”
yep its much much much better for babies to get breast milk
Yes breastfeeding is health than the formula but hey don’t force yourself if you not want breastfeeding, formula is health too but not the best as breastmilk, You make the choice and do what you want to do.
Yes, it really is.
It is… breast milk has alot more nutriments and they not been able to manufacture and add them formula yet.. however, if you cant or dont want to breastfeed thats ok too, formula babies are also very healthy.. there is nothing wrong with your choice.
The best time to breastfeed is in the first weeks because that’s when the baby will get colostrum from you which is rich in vitamins and nutrients. But really, there is nothing wrong with using formula. I did with my son (after attempting to breastfeed for a week) and he was perfectly healthy as an infant and still is today at age 9 — hardly ever getting sick. I’d say if you’re unsure, try it out because you never know if it might work for you. Some women are just naturals at it. For me, it was painful and I was going through postpartum depression, so it just didn’t work for me. Give it a try, but if it doesn’t work for you, feel confident and secure that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with using the formula.
Personally, I chose to breastfeed because I know where her food is coming from and I am the only person that handles her food. I’m sure formula is fine also. I know so many healthy babies that thrives off formula. I’ve read that breast milk has a lot of nutrients and antibodies that formula doesn’t have. It’s a lot of work to breastfeed but to me it is worth it, for my baby’s health.
It is healthier for you and the baby but if you are really against it then no… my personal belief is that it is not better (thumbs down for me
)
A happy mother is more important than breastmilk…if the options are happy and formula feeding, or unhappy and breastfeeding…I strongly believe that the first is the better option.
Be sure though… it is not uncommon to regret a decision to formula feed. Maybe you could consider breastfeeding even for a week…that way bubs gets the all important colostrum and even a week is better than nothing…at least that way you’ll have given it a go and you’ll have a better idea whether it is for you or not.
Just like vitamins from foods are better than vitamins from suppliments, Breast is best (as long as mom is healthy..the milk quality depends on mom’s health)
Formula won’t kill the kid and a lot of formula fed babies are healthy but breast milk fed babies have that extra protection.
I didn’t give my son that much breast milk when he was a baby and had formula…he is one of the healthiest kids I know.
HAHA, that’s a loaded question on this site! Yes it’s better, there are many health benefits. But on the same token, some women can’t for one reason or another. Neither choice is right or wrong, do what is best for the baby AND you. I would suggest at least trying it, there is no harm in trying!
Yes it is. Think about it. Breast milk comes from you, the mom not from a chemistry lab and factory. Assuming you eat healthy foods at all, your breast milk is far better than any concoction of chemicals and processed junk. It also is good for the bond between child and mother. Plus there is a risk of mastitis (painful swelling of the breasts) if you don’t get the milk out. No formula made is as complete when it comes to the right mix of fat, protein, vitamins, minerals, hormones etc as breast milk.
Think about it, Something that’s natural and comes from the mommy’s body, or something man made with all the other stuff in it..
Its your choice, hope you choose whatever you feel is right.
It’s the best for your baby no doubt, but there are many reasons for a mum not breastfeeding (eg illness, medication, returning to work, choice etc). Formula is a better 2nd best than it used to be – it’s made to mimic breast milk. All I can say is if you look at all of your friends or the mums in your baby group or the people on the bus – can you tell who was breastfed?
By the way, I did breastfeed my baby until she was 8 months despite many initial problems.
It has ingredients that protects the baby from being sick, from being allergic and so on. It is digested easier too.
Give it a try, you may even like it, if it doesn’t feel right, you will switch to formula. If at least he gets some breast milk in the early months, that will protect him too.
While there may be better formulas out there than ever before, BREAST MILK is BETTER. The fact is that nothing can replace that your milk was special made just for your human baby. There are problems with formula that go beyond the norm. Have you ever met a baby who developed a severe cow’s milk allergy and was formula fed? I have. How about the baby who is allergic to soy? I have. The baby who cant handle all the iron in the formula and is constantly painfully constipated.
I have breastfed all 3 of my kids, and let me tell you EVERY time I rolled over at night and slept while the baby nursed I was SO glad I decided to breast feed. Honestly breastfeeding can be difficult, I had one horrible nurser, one great one, and one with problems, but after the first month it’s alot of smooth sailing. No expensive formula runs, oops ran out in the middle of the night. No having to pack clean bottled water, and cans, worrying about giving it to them cold b/c you dont have a place to heat the water. No washing bottles day in and out. Not nearly as much spit-up, and breast milk spit-up doesnt stain like formula does. Have you ever seen and smelled a formula poopy diaper? FOUL, is all I can say. You can always tell the formula fed babies in the daycare by their poopy diapers. And wiping that stuff off is like trying to wipe off TAR. Not too mention the stomach discomfort of gas or constipation caused by the formulas. The average formula fed baby has been on 4 different kinds trying to find one that doesn’t make baby sick or uncomfortable.
It’s your choice, I have nothing against formula moms, but give it a real good try before you decide not too. Try it for a month, then if it still doesnt fit well for you, switch to formula. Some women feel weird at first because of the sexuality of their breasts, but I think for many of us that is normal esp with the first baby. I think if you tried it for a month, you’d be really happy with your experience and PROUD of yourself as a mother.
yes it is just loaded with all the good stuff in right amounts that a baby needs
breast milk is the best milk .
Breast milk – the miracle food for your little one – contains the perfect balance of nutrients, contributes antibodies to protect your baby from disease, and continually changes to meet the nutritional needs of your growing child. But many women decide, for many reasons, to supplement breast-feeding or exclusively formula-feed from birth.
Organic Formulas:
The benefits of organic baby formula are fairly straightforward. Organic baby formulas are made with certified organic ingredients and the makers must meet organic certification standards. This means that dairy based baby formula are made with milk produced by cows that have not been fed with pesticide sprayed feeds or injected with growth hormones. The major drawback of organic formula however is it can get quite expensive.
Infant Formula:
Unlike regular cow’s milk, Infant Formulas are formulated after breast milk and contain the recommended percentages of protein, carbohydrates, fat, vitamins and minerals. In fact, health care experts recommend cow’s milk based, iron-fortified Infant Formula as the next best alternative to breast milk because it offers a complete source of nutrition for your baby during his/her first year.
If you do choose to formula-feed, hold your baby close, cherish those special feeding moments and feel secure knowing that no matter what form of feeding you choose, it will provide a nutritious choice for you and your healthy, happy baby.
Yes, it is better (as well as cheaper and more convenient), but formula isn’t exactly rat poison or anything.
I highly recommend trying it. Breastmilk is sooo much better for your babies stomach. It’s easier to digest. also it is sooo much easier to BF than it is to get up mix formula, wash and steralize bottles, heat bottles, feed baby, and start ALL over again, there is nothing like trying to mix and heat a bottle at 2 am, or when you have to wash and steralise them at 2 in the morning. Much easier to BF. My daughter now refuses as she has realised the bottle is much easier. I would give anything for her to BF again. For example I was just out to lunch with my sister, I planned on being home early so I didnt take a bottle, but had not pumped so my breast were full of milk. I ended up being much later than planned my daughter was hungry, but no bottle to feed her and she refused to take the breast. If I could have breast fed her, she would have been happily fed and I could have stayed to visit with my sister. Instead I had a baby who thought she was starving and had to leave.
Wow, lots of answers. It is best, but it is also not for everyone. You have to be dedicated to it. Pumping is another option, but it is time consuming. There are plenty of formulas out there that are great and science has got it pretty close to breast milk. If you don’t want to, don’t feel guilty and don’t let anyone make you feel bad. I breast fed both my kids for the first week and then switched to formula. They are perfectly healthy.
Look I’d say you should try it and see how you feel about it. I started breastfeeding my two kids, but didnt have much milk and my kids seemed hungry after a few weeks -with my frist son-about 3 mos with my daughter, I had gotten so used to formula feed that I wasnt liking it that much, plus not much milk supply. Both of my children are completely bonded with me, from day one, they are healthy and happy children. I know a lot of women who also formula fed their children and are great moms with the most wonderful kids.
So do what you think is best for you.
Bonding comes by spending time with your baby, even if you formula feed.
Best of Luck!
Yeah its THAT much better … and then some.
Do what you choose just don’t delude yourself into thinking its exaggerated. What benefit does anyone have from exaggerating it? Who profits from breastfeeding? Plenty profit from people not breastfeeding.
