Regardless of age a baby should generally eat 2-2.5 oz. a day for every pound they are. So if the baby is 8 lbs, she should be having around 16oz. a day. I learned this from Dr.Sears writer of all those baby books. If she’s not too hungry between feeding then 4 hours should be fine but maybe try to get her closer to every 3 hours
your baby is fine. at that age you need to worry about feeding her when she needs to be fed. that is not too much or too little for her to eat… and if it is every 4 hours then count your blessings! my son would wake up every hr and a half to two hours the first 2 months of life… it was hard.
If you are formula feeding it’s just fine. If you are breastfeeding, every 2-3 hours. Formula is harder to digest then breastmilk so they need to eat more frequently.
Very best wishes!
it doesn’t sound too much as my little girl at 6 weeks would take 7 oz very 2 hours if i let her so it sounds ok to me
Formula feed babies don’t need to eat as often as breastfed babies. Every four hours is fine. And 4 oz is the right amount at that age- your baby knows how much he/she needs they will stop when they are full.
that sounds normal, completely fine bottle fed babies tend to go 3-4hour between feeds
That may sound like a lot, but it isn’t. My now four month old took that much…be prepared to buy a lot of formula becaue by three months she eating 8 oz at a time!
Seriously, feed your baby when she is hungry and offer her as much as she wants. She is not eating anything else, she knows when she is full or hungry.
Don’t worry about it, as long as doc says she’s growing properly, don’t worry about how much or litte she eats
