You should just take it and put it, possibly in an outside type environment. But I must warn you, when you take a turtle out of it’s “territory” It will spend the rest of it’s life trying to get back to it’s “territory”

You technically answered it for yourself. There is no safe way to Catch a baby turtle because you really shouldn’t catch one anyways. If you know that its cruel than why are you going to do it?

If you only plan on keeping it for a day or two (which I don’t believe), than why even bother putting it hrough that much stress. The turtle doesn’t know your intentions. It will think it is about to die and be eaten. How would you feel if you thought you were about to die? Not to good, I’m sure. Leave the turtles alone. And why do you mention you don’t have enough money to buy one? Because you’re lying about letting it go after a day. I know darn well you plan on keeping it as a pet. If you have no money, how do you plan on feeding it and getting it an enclosure and lighting? Get a goldfish.

Well, if you can find one, just reach down and pick it up. Wear gloves, if you’re uncomfortable using your bare hands. Make sure you wash your hands after handling it and let it go after a day, or so. Most baby turtles will eat earth worms, if you aren’t sure what to feed it.

No I won’t and hopefully no one else will. You say you know that it’s cruel to take it out of the wild, yet you STILL want to do it? It’s stressful and could really harm the turtle. Just go to the zoo….
